I agree, I am interested in fiber counting and am quite interested to follow the chain of responses...

Fidan's image was deleted before I saw it but I have been trying to threshold images to distinguish between the background and the foreground. However if there are 2 genres of items in the foreground ( fibers and cells, for example) then I'm having trouble identifying what is only fiber.

Why did you delete your post? It would be nicer for the community to leave a record what your question was, and how it was solved. This way (with a deleted post, and a deleted image), nobody can learn from Herbie's expert answer, and nobody else can help you anymore, either.

Ciao,
Johannes
