Thank you very much. The macro (and few parts more I haven't shared)
are working perfectly again. Also in SCIFIO mode. Thank you for the
credits on the unit (regression?) test macro.

A remaining issue is that when the macro (or js script for that
matter) finishes there is a delay (1 minute) in ImageJ fully exiting.
An explicit exit() does not seem to help. This does not happen in
Fiji. I saw a recent commit for this on Github, but that does not seem
to have completely solved it.

No, exactly, it does work for me in Fiji.app/ but it does *not* work
in ImageJ.app/.
