That *is* the breadth of the region. It is not necessarily co-linear and might
not be unique either.

You probably want something called "rotating calipers" and get the widest and
the narrowest lengths. Michael Doube had a macro to do this. That does not
give you, however, the max Feret or (consequently) the breadth.
