Dear ImageJ developers,
since the latest update of Fiji (ImageJ 2.0.0-rc-11/1.49e, Java 1.6.0_24, 64 bit on Windows 7 64 bit),
I've been experience a very significative slow down in the "Open -> image sequence" operation when opening
a stack of files, each file being a 2048 x 2048 16-bit unsigned integer TIFF image.
From a couple of minutes on the same exact machine and for the same exact stack before the update, now the operation
requires about 10 minutes.
When each file is loaded by the latest update (August 10th) of Fiji, I notice in the status bar the message "Computing min/max" which I've never noticed with previous version and I'm wondering whether that computation (I guess regarding the single file/slice) is strictly necessary or it can be skipped by some option.
