 Would you mind submitting a Fiji bug report
<http://imagej.net/Report_a_Bug>? This behavior sounds unusual, and the
"Help > Report a Bug" feature will tell us more about your installation
details (how up to date it is, what update sites are enabled). I personally
can not reproduce this issue on my mac.. Fiji boots up in a couple of
seconds.
