Opening Nikon Elements multichannel images

I am attempting to open an image that includes fluorescence (a dapi stain) as well as a brightfield image. However, the brightfield image is shown in grey scale, but I want to see the real colors that are seen through the microscope, and that were initially captured in the image. Anyone have any idea how to do this?
