Problem with image sequence load

I am trying to use Fiji to load a sequence of .png files generated in Mandelbulb 3D.
The program does not recognize the files and they appear light grey always...but if you select the first file the load starts.
Major problem is that is only loads about half the files and sees all of them in the wrong resolution.
The files are simple black or white pixels in a 400x400 array....but have no clue what is happening
Any help appreciated...need to generate objects from the files
