creating a real blank image

Hello everyone!!!
Does anyone know how to create a blank image?
I.e. an image whose pixel values equal nothing: not zero, but nothing at all!
I want to create an image that I can add or average to  any existing image without modifying it at all.
Anyone knows if this can be done?
