Hi all,
Usually when asking for help, reporting bug, etc. it's important to state your system, eg. ImageJ 1.49k12; Java 1.6.0_10 [32-bit]; Windows 7; 6706 K of 999MB (<1%)
In LibreOffice it's super handy that you can go to the "Help - About" menu and just copy it, ie the version and build are shown in selectable text. Therefore it is very easy to just copy and paste "Version: 4.3.2.2; Build ID: edfb5295ba211bd31ad47d0bad0118690f76407d" when asking/discussing in forums, etc. (ok maybe the build ID is not super important, but it seems important to report eg Java version and OS when talking about ImageJ.)
Would that be possible in ImageJ? As far as I know, this information is currently as an image in About ImageJ, therefore one has to manually write it... I see this information in ImageJ in text but only when I get exceptions. It would be great to (also) have it an a convenient way at any moment, independently from exceptions, etc.
Cheers and thanks for this great software!Rodrigo
