Analysis off of image

Hello. I am relatively new to ImageJ. I am working with ultrasound images of the vastus lateralis muscle. One of the variables I am interested in studying is fascicle length. To do so, I need to draw a line from the bottom of the muscle to the top at a hypothetical point that is not viewable on the image. This is due to the fact that many muscle fascicles are longer than what can be observed via ultrasound. Is there a way that I can use the straight line segment and extend the line off of the image?
