Lacunarity analysis might be appropriate, using the FracLac plugin. You might also want to check out Comparing monofractal and multifractal analysis of corrosion damage... - PubMed - NCBI using mono- and multi-fractal analysis. I can help with FracLac if needed. Give me a shout.
Best,Audrey

Subject: I need your help....
Hello I'm an engineer from Italy and I need your help.
I have this image:
http://imageshack.com/a/img909/6421/PgJ66O.jpgIt is the result of a traction test between two steel bars glued together.
Now there are some glue residues on both the glued faces and I need to
measure that.
The glue residues are the higher areas visible in the pic.
How can I do that? Is it possible with ImageJ?
Many thanks to all!
