I can see two different textured areas in the circular sample. One between
12 and 4 o'clock the other between 4 and 12. Are these the two areas you
want to measure? How accurate do you need the measurement? How reproducible
do you need the measurement? Do you have many samples and need to automate
the measurement?
 A simple approach, if accuracy and reproducibility are not critical, would
be to manually draw around the features using ImageJ then make area
measurements.
Automation is a challenge because of lack of contrast between the two areas.
You could try to generate contrast by using polarised light illumination,
or try staining the resin with a suitable dye. If successful this will
allow you to set a threshold to differentiate the two areas.
