3d box counting

Hello!
i have CLSM stack of cells, and i need to make fractal analysis of it in 3d space. Before i have try a FracLac plugin to Imagej, but, if i am right, it works only with 2d images, or 2d images within the stack. They use 2d box counting method or so called '3d' box countin but still of 2d images.

i have 3d object (cell's nuclei), and i need to know its grayscale spatial Hausdorff fractal dimension. Can you help me to solve it, may be, there is plugin, that calculate 3d fractal dimention?
