Align Image Stacks, xyz

Is there a function or functions to align two different z stacks in x y and
z?

For z, I want to find the slices that match between images and remove the
ones that do not match.

Will the function output the exact shifts that were made?  Say x was
shifted 10 pixels, y was shifted 2 pixels, and z was shifted by 1 slice.
