Image analysis

Hello!

Can someone please give me some tips about a project i have?
I got a binary picture of a metal foam. I need to measure the metal in
every pixel row. For  example: 7pixel black than 500pixel white etc. (cell
wall,) I need all these little sections to make a histogram. I tried in
imagej but i could only just measure the sum of the metal in a row, not
separately the sections.
