define binary labels programmatically

Hello,

I tired the example given on:

http://fiji.sc/Scripting_the_Trainable_Segmentation#Example:_define_binary_labels_programmatically

It works fine. I would like to eliminate the background. Also I need
three or even more classes. How can I label programmatically more than
two classes from labeled images? It would be nice to find an example for
this purpose. Can anyone help me?
