Dear list members,

I know how to rotate a rectangular selection in ImageJ (Edit - Selection - Rotate) if I know what angle I need.

However, I'd like to be able to do a free rotation of the selection in the same way as I can do a rotation of the entire image (Image - Transform - Rotate), i.e. with a Preview option so that you can adjust the angle until it's correct.

Does anyone know how this can be implemented?

The reason for the query is that I am helping a graduate student who needs to align the selection tangentially to an image of the knee joint. The only other way to do it is to rotate the image but this seems a bit clumsy and I'd prefer not to be altering the pixels.

Looking forward to hearing your ideas!

Kind regards,

Jacqui
