Did you try using the Bio-Formats plugin?
The easiest way to get it is to install the Fiji<
http://fiji.sc/Fiji> package.
Or to use Bio-Formats as a plugin for ImageJ, download bioformats_package.jar from here<
http://downloads.openmicroscopy.org/bio-formats/5.1.6/>.
That has worked well for me with ND2 files.
