Fiji won't open on Windows

 I cannot get the latest version of Fiji to run on my PC. I can still run the old version of the software, but it fails to open again after I update it. It shows the splash screen of Fiji, and nothing else happens.
My operating system is Windows 10, and I've made sure to have the latest version of Java installed. What else could I do in order to try and make Fiji work?
