Hello,
I had similar problems with some Win7 32bit machines. The Fiji logo appeared shortly on the
screen, vanished and Fiji would not start. I installed it from scratch, sometimes it worked for a
few times and then it stopped again.
One time it helped to delete the "ImageJ-xxxx-_0-7.stub" file (as described in
http://fiji.sc/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1238#c1) but this did not solve the problem
permanently.
Currently Fiji starts reliably with this short Cmd-file that restricts the memory for Fiji:
@echo off
start ImageJ-win32.exe --mem=1200m
I do not think that memory is really the issue (Fiji worked nicely for at least a year on the
same computer) but I can live with this solution. I have not seen any problems like this on
64bit Win7 computers.
