Hi Jerry,
Currently there are no 16bit LUTs in IJ. The LUTs are all 8bits. The setting
on the Option>Appearance is for setting the range of the LUTs, but the number
of steps within that range are always 256.
Applying a range to the LUT should not modify the data in the image, only what
you see.
