Hello all.

I am new here, so I hope I am asking this in the right place. I've searched for previous posts addressing this, and did not find anything that could help me.

I've been using ImageJ to analyze particles and to derive some measurements in photomicrographs of minerals in thin sections. I've recently noticed a peculiar behavior in FeretAngle that I was not expecting (see image attached).

Since the intervals with few measurments are very regular (spaced every 45°), I was wondering if this could be some particularity in the way FeretAngle is calculated. Otherwise I will have to try to explain this (unexpected) behavior in my data...
