3D surface plot broken?

Hi All,

I've been trying to use the 3d surface plot to visualize a 16-bit kymograph
which is ~500x3000 pixels, and IJ just takes more and more memory until it
crashes. I have 64 GB ram and a brand new Dell precision laptop Win7. Is it
broken?

Second question: what are good ways to analyze kymographs, particularly to
see changes in peak locations over time?
