Why deinstallation of FeatureJ?

Dear Fiji developers,

Is there a reason for the deinstallation of FeatureJ in the latest update? Especially the Laplacian of Gaussian filter is a tool I'm using all the time and a lot of my macros won't work without it. I know that peoples needs are very diverse but this is such a basic function that it should stay available for everybody. At least that's my opinion.
