Normally you use the Help>Update ImageJ command and select “daily build” from the drop down menu but the life line version of Fiji comes with ImageJ 1.50e, which generates a “Release Notes are not in the expected format” error when you try to upgrade. You get this error because versions of ImageJ earlier than 1.50i download ij.jar files from
https://imagej.nih.gov/ij, which fails because the ImageJ website now uses encryption incompatible with Java. You can work around this problem by downloading the ImageJ Updater plugin from
https://imagej.nih.gov/ij/plugins/updater/index.htmlwhich downloads ij.jar files from wsr.imageJ.net.
