Hi Avital,
In general, see this guide:
http://imagej.net/2016-05-10_-_ImageJ_HOWTO_-_Java_8,_Java_6,_Java_3DThe simplest solution is to uninstall Java 7 and/or 8. Then the ImageJ
Launcher will use Java 6.
If you need to keep Java 7/8 installed for some reason, then you can try
creating a shell script like:
#!/bin/sh
export J6="$(/usr/libexec/java_home -v 1.6 | head -n1)"
export IJ_HOME=/Applications/Science/Fiji-Life-Line-2014-06.app
$J6/bin/$($IJ_HOME/Contents/MacOS/ImageJ-macosx --dry-run | perl -pe 's/
-Djava.ext.dirs=.*? -D/ -D/')
Change IJ_HOME to the location of your Java-6-compatible Fiji installation,
of course.
Sorry that running with Java 6 is not easier. One reason is that we cannot
bundle Apple Java 6 with Fiji, due to Apple's licensing restrictions.
Regards,
Curtis
