DICOM Image Not Calibrating

Hi,

I have a dicom stack that has a standard calibration function that shows in the metadata ("show info..."), however for some reason the values in the image are wrong (huge numbers) -- i.e.: when i hoover on a pixel it gives me wrong huge numbers. I tried to calibrate with the Calibrate function but it didn't change.
My question really is two-fold: how to make it work, and how to make it work from a macro?
