egg cell sizes

Greetings and best for new year!
We want to determine the round egg diameters in images such as the one attached.  The different cells have varying levels of label, the brighter ones have the most. Other than using the line tool and doing this by hand, can anyone come up with a better, faster way?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
