Nearest neighbor distance with two sets of ROIs?

Hi all,

I'm trying to get the distance from an ROI (or centroid) to its nearest
neighbor in a second set of ROIs (or centroids). The two ROI sets are drawn
from two different cell types; I am looking for the distance from a
hematopoietic stem cell to the nearest adipocyte.

I need the nearest neighbor distance for each stem cell, rather than the
mean nearest neighbor distance for all stem cells, because I intend to
determine the correlation between this distance and a second variable.

Does anyone know of a plugin or Macro that can help me?

Any help greatly appreciated.
