Hi Maria,
Is there some particular reason you are trying to use Fiji with Java 6? I
tested with the current version of Fiji (which uses Java 8) on my Mac, and
ScientiFig appears to work fine.

https://imagej.net/Fiji/DownloadsClick the macOS link:
https://downloads.imagej.net/fiji/latest/fiji-macosx.zipUnpack the ZIP file, drag the Fiji application into /Applications, then
start it.
After Fiji starts, proceed to Help > Update... > Manage Update Sites and
enable the ScientiFig update site.
Then quit and restart Fiji, and there should be a new Plugins > ScientiFig
menu.
