Transltion recordings in 3d viewer

Hi

I am trying to use the freehand recording tool in the 3D Viewer to zoom in
on specific locations of my image stack. However, the zoom tool just moves
into the centre of the image. Is there any way to translate the camera or
the image so it can zoom in to specific locations?

I read the 2009 IMAGEJ Digest and was wondering if you have successfully
implemented the translation or if there has been a plugin created in the 10
years that can do something similar.
