Hello!
For the following question I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestion: I need to measure the threshold of a staining in a certain area of some pictures and NOT from the whole picture. Is there anybody who would know how this can be done? Many thanks in advance, Lena -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |

An alternative procedure for measuring areas: Analyze → Set Measurements, check 'Limit to Threshold'. After converting to a binary image, select Analyze → Measure This procedure is simpler but does not draw an outline of the measured area. _________________________________________ Michael Cammer, Optical Microscopy Specialist http://ocs.med.nyu.edu/microscopy http://microscopynotes.com/ Cell: (914) 309-3270 ________________________________________ From: ImageJ Interest Group [[hidden email]] on behalf of Lena [[hidden email]] Sent: Sunday, November 22, 2015 7:42 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: threshold on an area of a picture Hello! Hi Lena,
I'm late into this conversation but I would draw a Region of Interest (ROI) using one of the tools on the tool bar and store it in the ROI Manager (Analyze - Tools - ROI Manager). Then set your measurements (Analyze - Set Measurements) and any threshold you need to define the objects of interest (Image - Adjust threshold) as Michael has mentioned. Then click Measure from the ROI Manager. Is that what you are looking for?
