title in OpenDialog

Kenneth Sloan-2
The problem seems to depend on the version of Mac OS/X.  On my laptop, running 10.12.5, the OpenDialog box does NOT show the title.  On a lab iMac, running 10.9.?, it does.

My workaround is to put the title in the Status bar.

On a separate topic…can I configure my subscription to send a cc of my postings to myself (now, I’m trying to remember to do this manually).  [this is intended to explain why this post, a followup to two previous posts, is in it’s own thread.]

Hi Kenneth,

This link and the links therein will explain it better than I can but
you're right that it's OS version issue.

If you do the following your dialog title should show up again.
Edit>Options>Input/Output...>Use JFileChooser to open/save

Best,
George

Thank you! I will try this. The good news is that it's my customer who has
the OLDER version, so he doesn't really need it. Just checking / there's no
harm in using JFileChooser in older versions - correct? Don't want to make
the developer happy and upset the customer!
