working with a t-series of z-series

hi,  i'm working with t-series of confocal stacks.  so i've got say 20 sets of 10 focal planes, each taken sequentially in time after one another.  do you know a way that i can use imagej to work with this data?  so that it knows which set of images is a stack.  so i could say, view a movie of projections through all the stacks.  or i could view of a movie of just one focal plane?  and other such operations.  i just can't seem to figure out how to get imagej to recognize what i'm working with.  maybe a plugin?  some different software?
