3 color linescan in 12 or 16 bit?

Monique Vasseur
Hi to all,

Is there a plugin that can show on the same linescan graph data of different colors of 12 or 16 bit images (without being changed in 8 bit RGB)?
Many thanks in advance.

Cordially,

Monique

Hi Monique,

you can add data from one plot, created by plot-profile, to another
plot. On the window of the plot, click the "Data >>" button and select
"add from plot".

It is also easy to do in the macro language, see the "Plot." commands.

It works with 16 bit images.

See at the bottom of

/MontpellierRessourcesImagerie/imagej_macros_and_scripts/wiki/MRI_Heights_of_Surfaces_Tools

for an example.

Best regards,
Volker Baecker

Good day Monique,

you don't tell us the format of your images. Are these color stacks?

If yes, then it is is possible.
12bit images generally come as 16bit images.
ImageJ accepts 8bit, 16bit, rgb24bit, 32bit and to a certain extent
rgb48bit images.

It would be helpful, if you can make a sample image accessible via a
dropbox. Perhpas as ZIP-archive.

Regards

Herbie

Dear Monique,

The https://imagej.nih.gov/ij/macros/Plot_Multicolor.txt macro might be of use for this.

Best wishes

Kees

Hi Monique,
This macro tool might also work for creating profile plots from
multichannel images with higher bitdepth.
