5th Symposium in Applied Bioimaging

The *5th Symposium in Applied Bioimaging* will be held in Porto,
Portugal from October 26-28.

This year the Symposium, designed as a forum for those interested in the
application of bioimaging tools for life and medical sciences, will run
under the motto “*Disease in Focus*”.

The symposium will have the duration of two days, preceded by a
*hands-on workshop on bioimaging* (held on October 26):
A. Atomic Force Microscopy in the context of Bioimaging
B. Microscopy image processing and data extraction with ICY

The symposium will fund 3 grants on a competitive basis to cover the
registration of graduate students and post-docs willing to present their
work at the symposium.
