Adaptive denoising

Dear list,

I'm currently looking for an adaptive noise filter for automatic
processing already implemented for imagej/Fiji. That means, that the
parameters needed for the noise filter should be estimated using the
input image itself.

I try to find alternatives to my non local means denoising ( http://fij
i.sc/Non_Local_Means_Denoise ) filter because it is sometimes not fast
enough. For the nl means filter, I estimate the noise variance from the
input image which works very nice.

Any suggestions?
