Aggregated particle size distribution analysis. Help

Since the particles are too small, the SEM pictures I obtained are more or
less aggregated. Does anyone have some experience in handling it? Or please
someone recommend a powerful plugin. Thanks.

I am not sure I understand the problem: the particles are all touching each
other, so they are difficult to resolve? If this is the case, try the
Wright's facility ImageJ plugins collection and manual, which describe how to
count particles that touch each other by applying a smart sequence of
different algorithms, including watershed.
