Analyze particle for objects with holes

I'm a novice in using ImageJ, and I want to measure the area of an object using analyze particle command.

I have converted the image to binary and set the scale, but I'm having problems with carrying the paricle analysis - the hole in the object dissapears no matter if the "Include holes" option is turned on or off.

Any help would be apprechiated.
