I am experiencing a minor but annoying issue using Fiji (latest version)
under Windows 10. The scrollbar appearance has changed from Windows 7, and somehow this makes it almost invisible in Fiji. The position of the scroller is only really visible if you hover over it. The images in the folder below demonstrate this problem: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f0hwbuqotw9sceo/AAAlV4QPOJTNuWlKONz2Ysuza?dl=0 (the mouse pointer should be hovering over the selected scrollbar in the Win10_selected image, but somehow the pointer is being removed from the screenshot) As you can see, the scrollbars were much clearer under Windows 7. I've tried changing Windows Desktop Themes, and the appearance of the scrollbar only changes if I use one of the high contrast themes, which I don't want to do because that makes the text in some buttons unreadable. Any ideas on how to improve this? Can you customize scrollbar appearance within Fiji? I've looked through Edit>Options and couldn't find anything. "Look and Feel" options do not seem to affect scrollbar appearance. Hi Robert,
My display drivers are current, and I am running Java 1.8.0_65 (64bit] (as also reported by Fiji). It's odd because I tried running Fiji on another Windows 10 computer and I don't see the problem there, it seems to just be with this one. I guess I'll have to play around with anything I can think of, but my guess is there's some display setting somewhere in Windows messing it up. Here's how to reproduce this issue (at least I can reproduce it on this
computer): - Download Fiji 64bit. Extract, run it, update, and open an image file. Scroll bars appear normal. - Close Fiji, delete the java subfolder in the Fiji folder (to force it to use your system's java), run again and open an image file. Scroll bars are bad (same as what I showed in my first email). - Restore the java folder, scroll bars are fine again. Any advice would be appreciated.
