Assemble stack from different sized images (macro?)

Niko Ehrenfeuchter
Dear ImageJ users,

I'm wondering if there is a quick way to build a (hyper)stack from a
couple of files that contain one or more z-slices of the overall volume.
My problem is that the individual files differ in X and Y size, so some
sort of padding would be required. Plus the choice of how to position
them in relation to each other.

As you might have guessed already, the next step would be to use the
StackReg plugin to align the different slices correctly (whatever that
means).

Of course this could be achieved with a macro, I just wasn't sure if I
might have overlooked something similar that already exists.

Thanks,
Niko

Ok, figured it out by myself. The answer is TrakEM2.

Anyway, thanks for listening :)
