Beer-Lambert analysis of microscope images

I am a new user of ImageJ.  I am looking for a plug-in or macro which will
allow me to do a pixel by pixel density analysis of digital microscope
images to quantify total staining, using the Beer-Lambert equation.  Does
anybody know of such software?  I would prefer to use software with an
established history of use and publication, if possible.
