DESCRIPTION:
Accelr8 Technology Corporation (Denver, CO) is seeking an exceptional Java
programmer to assist with the development of our high throughput bacterial
analysis system intended for research and clinical microbiology
applications. The candidate will implement microscopic image analysis
methods enabling the characterization of bacterial populations supporting
Accelr8 research program and diagnostic product development. The work will
be in collaboration with and in support of staff scientists encompassing
software development and analysis of data from novel individual cell based
assays and other high-throughput assays.
Accelr8 is a small, fast moving company developing instrumentation to
perform rapid bacterial identification and antibiotic susceptibility
testing. The candidate will become a part of an energetic science and
engineering team focused on the commercialization of Accelr8s proprietary
instrument. The position offers substantial growth potential for the right
candidate.
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with experience in any or
all of the following areas: Image processing, classical optics, Java
programming experience, GUI development, experience developing software
applications in a SQL database environment.
Strong mathematical background in computer science, mathematics, or physics
is preferred, although relevant experience will be considered for candidates
at all levels (B.S., M.S.). Relevant experience and demonstrated
performance will be the main criteria for evaluation. The candidate must be
highly motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic.
