Does anyone know whether the Olympus F-View CCD camera can be controlled by
ImageJ?

Klaus,

I don't have an F-View, but I would guess that Olympus uses a third party camera (usually hamamatsu) that can be controlled by micro-manager (http://www.micro-manager.org/).  Hamamatsu uses a standard set of drivers for most of their cameras (I think it is called HDCAM), so there is a good chance that micro-manager supports it.
