Cell Counter Plugin

In an attempt to count the number of fluorescent cells in my field of view,

I want to overlay the markers generated from one image onto a second image.
When I attempt to do this, ImageJ tells me that the markers do not belong to the second image.

Is there a way around this?

I have tried saving the markers and the second image under the same name. Still no luck.
