Change in max memory allowable

lechristophe
Dear all,

ImageJ just stopped working under XP with the message "Unable to create
JVM". As I carefull selected the max memory allocation to be just under that
message usually, I noticed that the max memory allowable to IJ on my system
dropped from 1350 Mo to between 1000 and 1100 Mo (out of 2 Go total). Did
anyone notice this lower limit recently ?

Related to that, is there a way to force allocation of more memory, let's
say 1500 Mo ? I currently use this config file to launch ImageJ :
-Xmx1000m  -Xincgc -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -cp ij.jar ij.ImageJ

At the bottom, I collected some tips from this mailing list about
increasing memory for Windows XP.

Hope that helps.
