Hi all,
as suggested by Curtis some weeks ago, I actually took a little time and put some considerations regarding intensity thresholding and image binarization together. You can find it here: http://imagej.net/IP_Principles This is definitely not complete yet, I will also still extend it in future but neverthelessI would like to invite those of you how are deeper into this topic, to give further suggestions about proper description of acceptable methods to give users some kind of guideline, since this topic pops up in the list once in a while and in my eyes is somehow critical since the binarization often is an entry point into further analyses. Looking forward to some feedback and suggestions. Kind regards, Jan -- CEO: Dr. rer. nat. Hi Jan,
I just wanted to add my thanks for the recent work you did on the IP Principles page! We are planning a reorganization of the ImageJ web content later this year, to make articles like this more prominent. The navigation sidebar currently leaves much to be desired. The IP Principles page clearly belongs in a "scientific" area of the ImageJ site, and should be featured as one of the first articles to read for those just getting started. Any ideas from the community on how to best structure the web content would be most welcome.
