I just tried to load a DICOM dataset and received the following error
message "java.io.IOException ImageJ cannot open compressed DICOM images Transfer Syntax UID = 1.2.840.10008.1.2.4.70" There are 440 .DCM images varying between 130 and 230KB so presumably these are compressed. I searched the list archives for "DICOM decompression" and found nothing. I looked at the online manual but could not find anything in the "File" menu. Is there a tool available for decompression? Thanks. Douglas |
You can use our DICOM Tools together with an installed Java ImageIO :
http://santec.tudor.lu/project/optimage/dicom/start That yhould open most of the images. Hi Douglas,
Did you try Bio-Formats? http://loci.wisc.edu/software/bio-formats -Curtis On Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 9:30 AM, Benn, Douglas K. <[hidden email] > wrote: > I just tried to load a DICOM dataset and received the following error > message > > > > "java.io.IOException > > ImageJ cannot open compressed DICOM images > > Transfer Syntax UID = 1.2.840.10008.1.2.4.70" > > > > There are 440 .DCM images varying between 130 and 230KB so presumably > these are compressed. Dear Johannes,
Thank you for the link. I have downloaded all the files and have managed to open the images. Now I would like to save the stack as uncompressed DICOM. However, I cannot find the correct icon in TudorDicom to save the stack. Thank you for your help. unfortunately there is no funktionality to save a stack by now.
You could do a small macro that runs through the stack and saves each image.
