Developing ImageJ plugins in Netbeans

I realize this is the wrong forum for this question, but I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.  I am trying to develop an ImageJ plugin in Netbeans 8.02, but the tutorial does not correspond to the Netbeans on my Mac Powerbook Pro Retina Display (El Capitan).  For example, it says:
Expand the "ImageJ Projects" project, then "Modules"
but there is no “Modules” under the ImageJ project.  Nevertheless, I was able to get it set up to the point where I can type in code and Netbeans finds the correct classes in ImageJ.  However, when I do a run or debug, my classes do not show up under the plugins menu (yes, I put in the underscore), and I cannot find any way to copy the class into ImageJ to run it there.  I used to be able to run and debug in Netbeans, but no longer.  Where can I get some help?
