I am busy with the interpretation of contours of otoliths via Fourier analysis. I am confronted with the results of other researchers who use the program EFAWin (which I don't have). I need to understand the harmonics of the EFAWin output, but cannot find the manual nor contact the author of EFAWin. The output (40 rows) has this appearance:
#CONST 1 1 1 0
#HARMO 40
Tr1_990010_00001_0_5x1x2_0x1_01_W_1
1.0000000e+00 1.0525886e-15 1.1427162e-16 5.8477968e-01
3.9293470e-02 -6.6115963e-02 -3.7137961e-02 1.1511232e-01
1.3100878e-01 7.9985346e-02 -4.0975151e-02 2.7446796e-02
-6.2583988e-02 -3.8479823e-02 5.0800535e-02 -4.6529130e-03
...
All I know is that the first three numbers (rounded) are 1, 0, 0, as the contour is normalized
in size and orientation. Can anyone explain the table above? Isn't it enough to express a harmonic with only two values, such as amplitude and phase?
